Initiatives for cultivating healthy churches

The following are resources that the Pacific District provides to assist church in cultivating congregational health.
Healthy leaders create healthy churches.  This track helps pastors and lay persons sharpen the vision, focus the mission, lead as servants, and build strong teams through retreats, workshops and seminars. [resources]
Healthy churches are clear about who they are and what they are called to be and to do.  The focus of this track is to assist churches to evaluate their mission, vision and core values and make strategic decisions about their future.
Some congregations that have been in decline may decide that their ministry, as they have known it, needs to conclude and a new work be established. Most often it means closing the doors of the church for a time before beginning a new work. The District Minister and conference leaders are available to work with congregational leaders to bring closure to a church, and, together witht eh Pacific District Board of Home Missions, give leaders and direction to the "restart" process.[resources]
At some point pastoral transitions occur in the life of a congregation. The District Minister is ready to assist in the pastoral search process, with pastoral interim arrangements, or in other pastoral staff searches.[resources]
When conflict arises, outside assistance can be helpful, or even necessary. The denomination is ready to assist and equip churches to deal with conflict in a biblical manner.[resources]
